Switching to Mac

I'm a switcher. On March, 15 2004 i ordered my first desktop Mac ever to replace my 2-year-old Wintel Workstation. I wanted to get rid of unfixed vulnerabilities, patching and closed, buggy source. I wanted a system with a true unix foundation, a terminal, but also a nice 21st century GUI. I wanted to take advantage of the growing use of unix based open-source I got used to in the last few years. I wanted real plug'n'play for Firewire, Bluetooth and USB devices. I didn't want no longer to mess around with drivers, blue screens and all those nosy cooling fans. I was looking for an operating system with true dual-screen functionality. I was looking for a system that simply works, and works, and works ... and I've found it!

This is why I decided to order my first Mac. The transition will surely take some time, but I'm sure it's worth it.
